An alien visitor came to our school last week, Oct. 12, 2011, to conduct lectures about Geothermal Energy. The guy was named Mr. John Traller, from California with his Filipina fiancee.
We didn't understand some of what he said for he was talking fast :D. Anyway, according to him, geothermal energy is an energy that we can get from the Earth. Inside the Earth, there are magma (hot molten rock) which are continuously being formed. It can rise near the surface. As the magma slowly cools, its heat is transferred to the rocks around it.
Aside from the lectures he gave, he gave us some inspirational message, that even if we don't proceed to college, with enought determination and work and by mastering the skills taught to us in school, we can get a good career and reach our goals in life.
